cELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF OUR LOVE OF JAZZ
IN THIS VIDEO AND BEYOND:
PREJUDICE IS THE MOST COMMON CAUSE OF BLINDNESS.
On that philosophy, 20 years ago and beyond, I was fortunate enough to amass a plethora of notable musicians, unbeknownst to them, to join me in a multiethnic and multicultural movement with MUSIC as the infrastructure.
To name a few, in a loose chronological order: Chardavoine, Sheila DeGraff, Buyu Ambroise, Waldron Wicks, Marks Schwartz, Jean Caze, Pauline Jean, Allan Mednard, Paul Beaudry, Val Jeanty, Jeremy Powell, Alix Julien, Boujoly, Michel Lemorin, Bobby Raymond, Jean Raymond Leconte, Guetens, Makarios Cesaire, Roland Cameau, Christopher Fletcher, Yayoi Ikawa, Motoki Mihara, Smooth Jude Marcellus, Gashford Guillaume, and Roussel Pierre.
Most recently: Frederick LasFargeas, Matsu Hiroyuki, Mikaelle Aimee Cartright, Amazan Audoine, Santana Y la Orquesta Altagracia, Sam Bevans, Kenneth Salters, Sureh Ketwaru, SPACE, (and an impromptu performance by) Yves Joseph/Fanfan Tibòt, Yvon Andre/Kapi and Reynald Valme (of Tabou Combo). Last, but not least, our family band: CESIMI.
To stay loyal to the movement, August 9th 2025, on the Village Green Bandshell of Valley Steam will be the outstanding musicians exhibited on the attached poster.
It’s all for the betterment of humanity!
- Herold Simon, M.D.
